The Plan – Google Ads for Orraman Leather
After hearing what a -ahem- interesting job the previous agency did, our Google ads specialist (and ex Google ads employee) Niki was on the case. Niki is well known for his doing his due diligence, setting up things properly and for really making the client’s budget work for them. We sat down for detailed discussion with Chris, got to know him and his brand and what success would look like for him.
This meant we had a target: 300% ROAS was the goal.
Our free forecasting allows us to determine the best budget by looking at the average highest and lowest cost per click for each keyword. We then apply this to the conversion rate and average order value and voilà.
With the budget agreed, Niki then set to work optimising the ads and the account before we went live. We do this bit – along with making sure all the conversion tracking is properly implemented to our very high standards – before we push our new ads live. This is because Google always works on the past 30 days of data and therefore, we want our first 30 days to be strong AF (As Fundamentally-possible).
And what was the result I hear you ask? A huge 382% ROAS. And really, that’s just the beginning. Typically, ads get stronger over time, so this is only going to improve as Google’s trust in our ads gets stronger.

Seeing our success on Google ads, Chris from Orraman Leather had an idea – and it was a good one. Orraman Leather was running a Kickstarter campaign to boost their tradeshow budget this year – but they’d set the goal at £7,000 – meaning they needed to hit this in funding in order to cash out. Chris had the idea of driving ads to the Kickstarter as well as his website – and this is what we did, with one small tweak.
As mentioned above, Google ads can take some time to really perform their best. This means that throwing together a campaign that’s only going to last a few weeks isn’t the best use of budget, they don’t like you to turn it on and off like a tap. But do you know who doesn’t mind you doing this? META.
We put together a kick-ass campaign for this Kick-starter showing off the benefits of donating (discount codes, awesome products, supporting a genuinely lovable company) and spent the following 13 days driving users to the Kickstarter page. Thankfully, our Google Ads expert is also a Conversion Tracking Master Mind and managed to set up tracking to the Kickstarter page so we could make sure we were spending Orraman Leather’s budget wisely.
It’s safe to say we smashed through the £7,000 target (plus another £1,000 and change) and achieved a whopping 401% ROAS for this campaign. Most importantly, this meant Chris was able to cash that money out to use towards his tradeshows this year.
