First things first – unsuspending Google account

Not being aware of or not following Google’s strict rules always leads to trouble.

Last year in September, we were approached by Oli – the founder of Gut-Smart, who’s Google Account was suspended due to “compliance violations”. Strict Google Shopping rules around advertising vitamins & supplements had become a serious roadblock on the way to success of his products (100% natural, suitable for vegans, safe to take for as long as you need them).

And here we rode in, all in white 😉

Being one of the trusted Google Partners, and having Niki – our ex-Google Ads employee and all round secret weapon – on board, we managed to unsuspend the Gut-Smart Google account and earn even more trust from our now-retainer customer. Oli entrusted us to set-up and run his Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns. In the first full month of Google Ads his campaign received a whooping 7.57% Conversion Rate (industry average is 1-2%).

At Relton Digital, we’re health conscious and natural supplements are our product of choice any day. So, once we accepted the challenge, we quickly identified the untapped potential, a must-have for all e-commerce businesses – email marketing.

Although we do not offer e-mail marketing as a standard service, we do have a strong history of success.

Setting up and automating email subscriptions and the newsletter system made the database grow in speed of the Large Hadron Collider.

A good plan and re-purposed content gave us the unbelievable 77.67% Open Rate for automated Newsletter, and 30%+ Open Rate on promotion emails. Compare this to the average industry Open Rate of 22% and you will understand the happiness of our client.

At Relton Digital we firmly believe in collaborative genius and are more than happy to train clients up so that they can take the majority of services in-house. This is what we did with Oli’s email marketing, which is now run by somebody on Oli’s team.

Meanwhile, we still take care of Oli’s Google ads for him to make sure he doesn’t get suspended by silly rules again. That’s one service we’ll always manage from our end – Google is just far too tricky to deal with unless you’ve worked for them in the past (and our Google ads expert has)!
